Longleat’s Summer Carnival

21 July 2025

Longleat Summer Carnival is welcoming a variety of entertainment for guests to enjoy this summer.

The Wiltshire estate is preparing for their summer holiday event, a funfair extravaganza, with additional extras throughout.

Running until Sunday 31 August, guests can enjoy a classic carousel, swing boats, a toy vehicle ride and more.

There will also be carnival skill workshops taking place throughout the day, meaning guests can learn the tightrope, stilts, diabolos, walking globe and more.

Meanwhile in Longleat House, those taking a self-guided tour should look out for a Regency-inspired trail as they explore the history of the iconic stately home.

2025 also marks 60 years of Longleat Railway, with a special anniversary week of celebrations taking place between Saturday 23 – Sunday 31 August.

Each day the train will be doing a ‘Whistle up’ where they will sound their horn each day, echoing the New Year’s Day event to mark 200 years of the modern railway, which Longleat took part in.

Special anniversary tickets will also be available as souvenirs, and work is underway to transform the flower bed next to Longleat Central Station into the shape of the railway logo.

WWF will also be hosting a stall at the park on the 29 & 30 July, and 3 August so guests can learn about their incredible work across the globe.

Scott Ashman, Head of Operations at Longleat, said “It’s fantastic to bring all the different areas of Longleat together to create a wonderful summer event.

“It gives us the opportunity to celebrate everything that makes Longleat unique, our animals, conservation, the history of Longleat House, our railway, and of course, family fun.”
