Art meets adventure this summer
9 July 2026

A bespoke animal art trail is coming to the Park as part of our Wild Summer event.
We've commissioned local artist, Tanya Hinton to create five pieces of art across the Park.
Tanya, local to Warminster, creates wildlife paintings on reclaimed wood which otherwise would go to waste, using the features of the materials to lead the artwork.
Tanya said “It’s such a delight to have been invited to create part of Longleat’s summer event. To be creating art whilst surrounded by the species themselves is a privilege.”
The art trail is part of our Wild Summer event, where guests can enjoy animal-themed garden games, as well as tracking down each art piece to unscramble a word for the chance to win a family ticket for two adults and two children to revisit* and an original artwork piece by Tanya. There will be six chances to win, with a winner each week.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity to give guests the chance to win an original piece, to have the chance to give these reclaimed materials a new lease of life and help them find their ways into people’s lives is a joy," she said.
Tanya’s work has been seen across the region, particularly in her local town, Warminster, where she has created exterior wildlife paintings, much like those which will be featuring at Longleat. Her work across the town has earnt her the nickname ‘the Warminster bird lady’, which she takes in her stride. She works from Bull Mill Studio at Bull Mill Arts near Warminster, where visitors are welcome to browse her work.
“I simply love being able to bring these wildlife pieces to peoples’ attention, whether it's our native wildlife, or species that are further afield.”
Scott Ashman, Head of Operations, said “It’s been a pleasure to invite Tanya here to create these beautiful pieces of art around the park. Seeing them come to life has been fantastic, especially as they bring a new dimension to the areas they are in.
“This summer, the focus is on the wonderful species that call Longleat home, and there’s no better time to visit as we are taking part in the Government’s Great British Summer Savings initiative. A family of four can save £17.50 on Day tickets when booked in advance, as well as savings on children’s meals in The Chameleon Tree Restaurant.”
