Longleat has been awarded the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge and in doing so, meets the high quality criteria required by schools for visits.

Primary Schools

Free educational talks are available for groups of 12 people or more when Longleat Day Tickets are purchased. These include:

  • Biodiversity
  • Habitat & Adaptations
  • Responsible Pet Ownership
  • Conservation in Action

Species specific and other talks can be tailor made to your curriculum or badge requirements – please request details when booking.

Talks take place in Animal Adventure on weekdays (Monday – Friday) throughout the season between the hours of 09:30am – 11:30am. All talks MUST be pre-booked.

Primary education resources focussing on a range of curriculum-linked topics, with pre-visit, post-visit and observational activities to do at Longleat are available to download.

Secondary Schools

Student lectures are available to groups of 12 people or more studying business related courses and can cover a variety of subject areas depending on your curriculum needs and requirements.

Subjects include ‘Marketing in Leisure and Tourism’, ‘Customer Experience’, and ‘Managing a Visitor Attraction Business’.

A ‘Vocational Learning at Longleat Pack’ including teachers’ information sheets and suggested assignment work is provided free of charge – please request when booking.

Talks take place in Animal Adventure on weekdays (Monday – Friday) throughout the season between the hours of 09:30am – 11:30am. All talks MUST be pre-booke in advance.

A 45-minute talk is charged at £60 (incl. VAT) per group. Students will have an opportunity to choose from a selection of Longleat and Cheddar promotional literature if required.
