We have a range of positions available to join the team from guest-facing roles in our restaurants, refreshment kiosks, gift shops, admissions, shows and attractions through to Cleaning Assistants. We have fixed term and casual contracts for full time, weekends or school holiday positions.

seasonal groundsperson

Seasonal Groundsman required from April to October 2014. Previous experience of operating Ransomes 2130 triple mower and Kubota 3680 rotary mowers essential along with experience of power tools inclusive of strimmer’s and hedge cutters. £6.56 per hour with uniform and PPE supplied. Full driving license required along with ride on mower experience.

Retail Supervisor

An exciting opportunity has risen for a highly motivated supervisor within the Retail department to work full time permanent contract working five days out of seven with bank holiday and weekend working essential. Experience in a supervisory role would be desirable with at least 2 years experience working in a retail environment.

The role will require you to provide customers with an excellent level of service by supervising the daily activities of the retail team and to develop sales and revenue targets. This is a full time permanent position working 5 days out of 7 which will include weekends and bank holidays.

Group Sales & Marketing Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Longleat Enterprises for a 40 week placement as a Sales & Marketing Assistant within our growing dynamic and successful team.  You will be required to support the sales and marketing department to promote and represent Longleat Group in all aspects of the business to include group, VIP, consumer, corporate & weddings. 

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
• Help drive sales and continue to create awareness of the product to the group, corporate & wedding market with the sales team
• Work on the Digital Strategy with relevant individuals
• Offer support on short term event projects
• Continue to develop our VIP product with the team
• Think of new ideas and ways of standing out from the crowd
• Work alongside the Sales and Marketing individuals to create the 2014 marketing strategy and marketing budget

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• Some work experience in a business environment.
• Interest in the industry would be an advantage.
• Confident to liaise with all levels of individuals.
• Ability to use all forms of communication

Trainee Forester

Longleat Forestry is seeking 2 enthusiastic and passionate Trainee Foresters to work within 4000 acres of both coniferous and broadleaved woodlands on the Longleat Estate. This is a hands on practical role which will give the successful applicant a wide and varied range of skills which will be supported by a Personal Development Programme and will be of great benefit for a future career in Forestry.

The trainee Foresters will be required to assist in the effective implementation of:

• the duties of establishment, maintenance, treatment, harvesting, conversion and extraction/processing of growing crops, felled timber and processed materials.

• the duties of firewood production, deliveries , weighbridge operation and yard sales

The successful candidate will also be required to :

• assist in the day to day maintenance/repair of vehicles, plant and machinery

• ensure all customers are dealt with promptly, effectively

• assist in carrying out general estate maintenance to include tree work, roads, gates, fencing  and conservation.

• undertake training as required to ensure skills/competencies are kept to the highest standards at all times

Each Trainee Forester will work as a 2 Member Team under the direct supervision of one of the Estate Foresters.

The successful candidate should have
• a good theoretical and practical knowledge of forestry aided by a recognised forestry qualification. 
• NPTC certificates in chainsaw use CS30, CS31
• a full driving license is desirable

This is a Fixed Term Contract for a 12 month period working 39 hours per week, and the successful applicant may be required to work out of hours (under supervision) and so staff accommodation will be available.

Salary will be based on the minimum wage according to age.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and hard working person to join our Porters team some of the responsibilities will be as follows:

  • To show guests to their rooms and assisting with luggage and guiding them around hotel.
  • To develop a local knowledge of the surrounding area so as to be competent enough to recommend place of interest and to dine.
  • Must have experience in conference and banqueting department set up and room service set up.
  • Will need to work 5 in 7 days including weekends
  • To undertake regular cleaning and maintenance task from the manager.

Spa Assistant

We are in the need of a Spa Assistant to provide a warm greeting to all spa members and to maintain the established benchmark of excellence throughout the spa facilities. You would also need to support the reception for all spa users and to assist in the daily / monthly bookings when required. You would also be required to undertake the cleaning off all spa areas to a pre determined quality standard in line with set checklists.

Spa Therapist

Waiting Staff
